Rang De Basanti

Today, I watched Rang De Basanti fifth time. Tooooo Good movie! ..... Whenever I saw this movie, I always felt very sorry for DJ and gang. Why this movie has to end like this? Why it couldnot end like other romantic movies? ......DJ and 'SU' living happily there after (maths). After a lot of contemplation I found the answer, sacrifice is necessary to bring changes in society.
So this movie should have sad ending... But, again my ran-dom mind asked if the sacrifice of DJ and gang was worth. My reasoning says no it is futile. What if I would have been there in place of their(s)....may be the death of Captain Rathore would not have mattered to me...may be I would have protested calmly and if I would have not got the justice, I would have retreated.....may be I would have killed the Defence Minister and would have kept mum...... may be the ending which movie depicts.
