Correct...or Incorrect

Yesterday, I was having discussion with my friend about the topic - "Would you say that Dhirubhai was correct for manipulating the system in his initial days of business days?"

Well, the topic was so common, but how do you justify the correctness after once you have seen that the Reliance has done so good under his leadership. Was he really correct after you know the way he manipulated the system for the company's benefit ?(ohh sorry my friend argued, it was his personal benefit associated with these actions).

Be any the case, one faces so many times such similar situations in which you have the justify the correctness of the actions. In my view, outcome of such actions are decided by the way you look at the final result. I believe that Dhirubhai felt that system itself was wrong and it provided the opportunities to those who were well enough to exploit the opportunities. How do entrepreneurs would flourish in a system, when it is inlcined to do the good for some people?

But, what is correct ? I believe that it is a mere consensus of what most of the people think is right. But, how do you justify that "license raj" itself was right. I still remember one politician saying "Dhirubhai was correct....and license raj should not have been there".

Well, there are many times when one decide the correctness (some people say ethics) of an issue or an action by just looking at the majority. The issue which was correct may or may not be correct tomorrow...Mind you, I am not talking about the ethics here.

By Oscar Wilde

"Between men and women there is no friendship possible. There is passion, enmity, worship, love, but no friendship. "

"A man's face is his autobiography. A woman's face is her work of fiction."

"All women become like their mothers. That is their tragedy. No man does. That's his."

"As long as a woman can look ten years younger than her own daughter, she is perfectly satisfied."

"Bigamy is having one wife too many. Monogamy is the same. "

"How can a woman be expected to be happy with a man who insists on treating her as if she were a perfectly normal human being. "

"How marriage ruins a man! It is as demoralizing as cigarettes, and far more expensive. "

"I see when men love women. They give them but a little of their lives. But women when they love give everything."

"Men always want to be a woman's first love - women like to be a man's last romance. "

"No woman should ever be quite accurate about her age. It looks so calculating."

"One should always be in love. That is the reason one should never marry. "

"She wore far too much rouge last night and not quite enough clothes. That is always a sign of despair in a woman."

"The one charm about marriage is that it makes a life of deception absolutely necessary for both parties. "

"There is nothing in the world like the devotion of a married woman. It is a thing no married man knows anything about."

"When a man has once loved a woman he will do anything for her except continue to love her. "

"Woman begins by resisting a man's advances and ends by blocking his retreat. "

"Women are made to be loved, not understood. "

"Women are never disarmed by compliments. Men always are. That is the difference between the sexes. "

The question remains....

Few days back, I got few thrilling quotes. I am just re-producing them.

I recently read that love is entirely a matter of chemistry. That must be why my wife treats me like toxic waste.
David Bissonette

When a man steals your wife, there is no better revenge than to let him keep her.
Sacha Guitry

After marriage, husband and wife become two sides of a coin; they just can't face each other, but still they stay together.
Hemant Joshi

By all means marry. If you get a good wife, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher. Socrates

“ The great question... which I have not been able to answer... is, What does a woman want?”
Freud

There are few more and I don't want to get victimized by the "them" by putting it here. I loved the last one the most and I believe this addresses the most intriguing question - "What does a woman want ?" .

I believe any androgen group member who is said to have testosterone and who boast his maleness is confounded by the above question “What does a women want?”. I believe that while creating the woman, God would have realized that man’s life should not be so easy; so, he gave the most difficult puzzle to man “What does a woman want?”. All the mathematicians and probability theorists tried their hands to solve the puzzle, but no one could solve it and come up with a definitive answer as the variance in the answer would range from 100% to 1000%. Finally, they gave up deciphering the estrogen group. Now, a disciple of God asked this question to God “After all my prayers and devotion, I wish that I want to know the answer of the most profound and difficult puzzle.” Hearing this God said, “I created the woman with the desire that she could not be understood by anyone. I used the most advanced stochastic theories in her cerebral system so that all her vital functions and acts would be probabilistic. But, after creation, I realized that accidentally I have lost the key to this problem. So, you see this problem would remain as the most mysterious. Sorry!.“ God further claimed that if anyone can solve this problem, he would be the luckiest male in testosterone group and would be promoted as God with immediate effect.

My Fair Lady

Yesterday, I re-saw "My fair Lady (1964)" . This movie is directed by George Cukor. The story of movie so heart touching that it will make you move. Lyrics are by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederic Loewe. Whole movie is so mellifluous that hardly you will move your eyes from the screen. The pieces of songs are very skillfully weaved leaving no chance for complains. Lyrics of all the songs are awfully amazing but I liked this one most- "I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face"

Damn! Damn! Damn! Damn!
I've grown accustomed to her face.
She almost makes the day begin.
I've grown accustomed to the tune that
She whistles night and noon.
Her smiles, her frowns,
Her ups, her downs
Are second nature to me now;
Like breathing out and breathing in.
I was serenely independent and content before we met;
Surely I could always be that way again-
And yet
I've grown accustomed to her look;
Accustomed to her voice;
Accustomed to her face.

But I'm so used to hear her say
"Good morning" ev'ry day.
Her joys, her woes,
Her highs, her lows,
Are second nature to me now;
Like breathing out and breathing in.
I'm very grateful she's a woman
And so easy to forget;
Rather like a habit
One can always break-
And yet,
I've grown accustomed to the trace
Of something in the air;
Accustomed to her face.

Pink

There lived a Mr. You in small place called ‘The Face’. Mr. You was a very happy man. There were two other people who lived at ‘The Face’ – Ms. Pink and Mr. Brown. Pink was a very cheerful girl. She always sung the beautiful songs of life.

I travel through light and dark,
With smile, every mile I embark.
I give you a reason to his dearest life
With all the shades which are so rife

It never occurred to her that there is any other shade of life but happiness. Pink was a gardener who grew roses for her survival. She always filled the home of Mr. You with rosy Roses.

Mr. Brown, who lived next to Mr You was full of grief and sorrow. He had spent most of his time in the dark corners at ‘The Face’. He was known as Mr. Evil in the “The Face” and its vicinity. He always sung the songs of lassitude and insipid-ness.

I will rule the ‘The Face’ one day,
I will make you cry let say.
I will paint thee with the Brown
And will get the cherished Crown!

Mr. You was a lively person and lived a life that he always desired.

I live here with happiness all around,
The fragrance of air seems to be sound.
Ah! the rosy Roses are so pink and cheery
Make me rejuvenate and merry oh yes!!

Now, one day Mr. Brown takes the charge of ‘The Face’. Everything started depreciating and whole place was dilapidated. Ms. Pink grew no more Roses and Mr. You was shackled. Mr. Brown was happy.

Then, one day Smile, sister of Ms. Pink heard about Mr. Brown’s acts. She came to rescue ‘The Face’ from the shadows of deep rooted browny Brown.

I am here to make you smile
With mile by mile and mile ( babbles ..)
I will throw you out Mr. Brown.
You will not get the cherished Crown.

And with her miraculous power, Smile revitalized ‘The Face’ again. Mr. You sang all the songs of life and Ms. Pink grew more rosy Roses with rosy Faces.

Lover's Talk

Have you seen some couple sitting somewhere and talking? I have always wondered about the content of the talks. Will be they talking about politics? Or will be they talking about some movie? Or, will be they talking about old times? Or, will be they talking about sex? I have seen few of my friends who would talk to their girl friends on phone for almost 2-3 hours. I have asked most of them that what they talk so long. I was amazed by their answers. Few of them suggested me the content of the talk may be anything such as weather and how she is feeling today, what she ate today ( and how !), what did she shop today and why, how was her mood today, meaning of “ I love you” , how much she loved ( how does anyone quantify this? ) , what she is wearing today ( please ), About her dream ( and she would say that she saw one prince riding on a horse and surprisingly that prince were you ) , how much she missed him ( a ton, a less than this, phew!! ) , how she can live without him, and of course sex etc, etc. But, when I asked them back that how can you talk these things everyday. They said “Aisa hi hota hai”. But I have seen few friends who will do all the boasting about love and when the time comes, when she is going with bad times; they will simply do talking. I have always doubted about the nature of this love. I have never been loved by someone special but I always felt this feeling should be special, desires to take the pain of her, make her smile all the time, make her wishes true ( if you can), take care of her under your aegis and love of life etc etc.

Yesterday, I was sitting in a restaurant when I saw this couple sitting in a nook just next to me. Firstly, I ignored them; but when I re-scanned the place, my eyes could not move from them. It seemed to me that both of them would be working at same place as they were identically tagged. Their sitting gesture and behavioral pattern showed that they were discussing something very important. It was high time at the restaurant but still I could hear the distinct sound of theirs amid the mixed noises. I tried to pretend not to hear the talks but could not help my self as their sound was too loud to be heard. I started talking with my friend so that we should avoid their conversation. Finally, I gave up. I heard the following conversation:-

He – Look, I am fed up with this all.
She – “Abhi se yeh haal hai”
He – Sometime you behave weird, you know
She – What I am just asking to bring “daal and chawal”
He – You know I have to visit my friend and it would be difficult to bring this
She – I don’t know, but you say you love me. “itna to karna hi padega, Agar nahi laaye to mujhse baat mat karna, Mere ko yeh sab kharidna bilkul pasand nahi hai”
He – “Tum bhi na”
(They sat silent for nearly 10 minutes, and again they started.)

He – okay, but why don’t you eat outside?
She – Do you remember that I had told you that I am not feeling okay nowdays..
He – I almost forgot, but from next time please don’t ask me to bring all these thngs..

She – Tomorrow, I am planning to visit doctor
He – Hmm.. I would be busy tomorrow. Why don’t you catch someone else?

She – … ( blank eyes)

He – You know I always miss you every second
She – I too!

(And they continued... mushy-gushy talks)

I ignored them and talked with my friend. I came to my room and analyzed it. And, I found that what both of them wanted was talks and talks !

Other side of "hulla"

Last Sunday, I had gone to meet my Uncle who was by chance were here in Pune. My Uncle is a active member of Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad. He had come here for a "baithak" related with reservation issue. I got a chance to talk with him related with current reservation issue. I asked him about the gist of the "baithak". I am listing them here :-

(1) Reservation is social justice and by bringing reservation in centre owned institutes, Government is bringing justice to society. The current boycotts and strikes by students are not justified.
(2) Government should ensure that people who have taken the advantage of reservation, such people should be restricted for taking the advantage.
(3) There should be a economic constraint set by Government for giving reservation to backward classes. If a person is well to do, he should not claim it.
(4) The seats and infrastructure in centre owned universities should be increased before implementing any reservation.

well! an other side of the reservation "hulla".
